Course Questions


Are the courses approved by the Department of Real Estate (DRE)?
Yes, all courses listed in the course catalog have been approved by the DRE except Ethics in Real Estate: The NAR Code of Ethics. Check the course description page for each course in the catalog to view course approval details.

How do you start a course?
Go to www.cenetwork.com, choose your state (if this is your first visit) and log in with the Username and Password. When you have logged in, click on your CE Manager to view the
course(s) you have purchased. To begin the course, click "Start".

What kind of computer and system requirements do I need to run a course?

Can I use the course on more than one computer?
You can complete your course on any computer with an Internet connection that meets our system requirements.

How long does it take to complete a course?
You are encouraged to learn at your own pace — spend more or less time on a topic according to your needs. You are not required to complete a course in one sitting. Each time you log out, your work and time within the course will be saved, and your progress will be bookmarked. The CE Manager will track your course progress, so that next time, you can simply start where you left off.

How do I check how much time I have spent on a course?
Click on the "Completion Status" button found at the bottom of your course screen to review how much time you have spent in the course. As well, a "Completion Status" screen appears at the end of each module and at the end of the course, providing a summary of the time spent reviewing the course.

What happens if I open a course and leave it inactive for a period of time?
If no activity is detected from your system for a period of 20 minutes, the CE Network system will time you out. If you attempt to continue with the course after 20 minutes have elapsed, you will be requested to exit the course, log into CE Network again and restart the course. The progress during this inactive time will not be tracked. Once you log back into the system, you will be returned to the last screen where your time was recorded.

How long do I have to access the course?
Once you have completed a course, you may return to it as often as you like for review until the course expires. Courses will expire two years after the purchase date.

How do I receive credit for a CE Network course?
Each course lists the specific requirements for course completion and for obtaining continuing education credit. On completion of all course requirements, you will see a Congratulations screen. You will be instructed on the procedure to follow for reporting your course completion for continuing education credit. It is recommended that you retain copies of documents as proof of course completion.

If I have lost my Certificate of Completion for a course I was enrolled in, how do I obtain a duplicate copy?
Log in to CE Manager and look for the course in which you need to reprint your Certificate of Completion. Click "Review" to enter the course. Once the course loads, click "Print Certificate" button. Your certificate should open up in a new window. Click "Print" to obtain a duplicate copy of your Certificate of Completion. Contact Customer Support at 1-866-444-1123 or e-mail support@cenetwork.com if you have problems reprinting your Certificate of Completion.

Am I required to take a final exam as part of the course requirements?
Yes, as part of your course requirements, you are required to take a final exam. You must achieve a pass mark of 60% or better to receive your continuing education credit. The exam is not downloadable nor is it printable. It must be completed and submitted for grading online during your exam session.

When you are ready to begin your exam, the course will contain specific instructions for taking the final exam. Follow all instructions provided at the time of the exam.

What types of questions are on the final exam?
The final exam can consist of either a combination of true/false and multiple-choice questions or only multiple-choice questions.

How many questions do I have to complete?
The amount of questions you are required to take on the final exam will depend on the course credit hours. For example, a three credit hour course will consist of 25 questions and a six credit hour course will consist of 30 questions.

Information on the number of exam questions for a specific course can be found in the course description within the course catalog, and on the following screens within any course: "Requirements for Earning Continuing Education Credit for this Course" and "How to Complete the Final Exam".

How long do I have to take the final exam?
The amount of time required to take the final exam will depend on the course credit hours. The maximum time allowed for the exam is approximately 1.5 minutes per question. On each exam question screen, there is a timer indicating the amount of time remaining in your exam session.

What happens if my time runs out before I finish the final exam questions?
If your exam time runs out before you have completed it, this will count as one attempt. The system will mark unanswered questions as incorrect. The exam must be completed in one session. You cannot re-enter this same session at a later time. Therefore, it is important to remember that when taking an exam, you should try to have minimal distractions. If you do not wish to begin the exam upon completion of the course modules and Self Check assessments, you can exit the course and start the exam at a later date or time.

What do I do if I fail the exam?
You now have unlimited attempts to pass the exam.
