Course Questions

Are the courses approved by the CT Department of Consumer Protection, License Services Division?
Yes, all courses listed in the course catalog meet the minimum requirements set forth by the Department of Consumer Protection/Real Estate Commission. Check the course description page for each course in the catalog to view course approval details.

How do you start a course?
Go to, choose your state (if this is your first visit) and log in with the Username and Password. When you have logged in, click on your CE Manager to view the course(s) you have purchased. To begin the course, click "Start".

What kind of computer and system requirements do I need to run a course?

Can I use the course on more than one computer?
You can complete your course on any computer with an Internet connection that meets our system requirements.

How long does it take to complete a course?
CT Department of Consumer Protection, License Services Division, has defined the following policy regarding the actual amount of time a student must spend on a course to receive a certificate based on ARELLO guidelines. A student should spend at least 50 minutes of each 60-minute hour to receive credit for that hour. For example, a three-hour course should not be completed in less than 2 ½ hours and a six-hour course should not be completed in less than five hours.

How do I check how much time I have spent on a course, module or lesson?
When you begin your course, the recommended time requirements to complete the course and its individual modules/lessons are listed on the "Requirements for Earning Continuing Education Credit for this Course" screen. Upon completion of each module/lesson, a "Module Completion Status" screen informs you of the total time spent in the course plus how much time was spent in each module.

If you do not meet the overall course time requirements upon completion of the course, you will be notified which modules/lessons you need to review and how much more time you need to spend in those modules/lessons.

At any time, you can click on the "Completion Status" button found at the bottom of your course screen to review how much time you have spent in the course and modules or lessons.

What happens if I open a course and leave it inactive for a period of time??
If no activity is detected from your system for a period of 20 minutes, the CE Network system will time you out. If you attempt to continue with the course after 20 minutes have elapsed, you will be requested to exit the course, log into CE Network again and restart the course. The progress during this inactive time will not be tracked. Once you log back into the system, you will be returned to the last screen where your time was recorded.

How long do I have to access the course?
Once you have completed a course, you may return to it as often as you like for review until the course expires. Courses will expire two years after the purchase date.

How do I receive credit for a CE Network course?
Each course lists the specific requirements for course completion and for obtaining continuing education credit. A signed Certificate of Completion will be forwarded to you within three weeks of completing a course. It is recommended that you retain copies of documents as proof of course completion.

It has been more than 3 weeks and I have not yet received my Certificate of Course Completion. How can I obtain my Certificate?
There is a possibility that the Certificate may have been lost in the mail or returned to CE Network as a result of incorrect mailing information. Contact Customer Support at 1-866-444-1123 or by e-mail at to request a copy of your Certificate of Course Completion.

If I have lost my Certificate of Completion for a course I was enrolled in, how do I obtain a duplicate copy?
